Every Clan Expedition weekend, the Chaos Discord would be filled with more than 30 members. There was constant teasing, laughter, and even the occasional serious talk. Then Marky would suddenly break in with his playful interruptions:
“Mau. Mau. Mau. Mau. Mau.”
His humor always shifted the mood. Chaos Tambayan (discord voice comms) never felt complete without him.
The nickname “Marky” started as a simple joke from Mau after seeing John Luod’s real name on Facebook. What began as teasing quickly spread across the community until even he himself grew more used to being called Marky than Luod. It became part of his identity in Chaos, a reminder of how easily he fit into every moment.
Parachute and Mau still remember driving to the airport to pick up Wei (his girlfriend) for that first meet up. It became the group’s first double date as friends. Later, Marky’s birthday turned into the second time we meet. None of us realized that it would be his last birthday celebration, but we are thankful the memory was shared together.
Marky grew from being just another member into someone treated as a younger brother. He shared both big and small parts of his life with the Chaos Fam, from everyday stories to his worries during a long hospital stay. His love for his mother and for Wei was always clear. When the community organized a fundraiser to help with medical bills, Marky’s happiness came not only from the support but also from being part of something that showed the strength of Chaos as a family.
Marky left a lasting impact through his humor, warmth, and loyalty. His presence is remembered in the stories we still tell and in the laughter he brought to everyone. In fact, you are the inspiration for creating this award. From your Chaos Fam, we honor you as a Hall of Famer. Rest easy, brother.
